Attorney Defense

The Attorney Defense representing the defendant in a lawsuit or criminal prosecution. A lawyer who regularly represents defendants who have insurance and who is chosen by the insurance company. A lawyer who regularly represents criminal defendants. Attorney Defense who regularly represent clients in actions for damages are often called "plaintiff's attorneys."

The person defending or denying; the party against whom relief or recovery is sought in an action or suit, or the accused in a criminal case.

In every legal action, whether civil or criminal, there are two sides. The person suing is the plaintiff and the person against whom the suit is brought is the defendant. In some instances, there may be more than one plaintiff or defendant.

An attorney defense at law in the United States is a person licensed to practice law by the highest court of a state or other jurisdiction. Alternative terms include attorney-at-law, attorney and counselor (or counsellor) at law, attorney, and lawyer.
